Black-Amber-1 (Gnome Shell 3.2.1-3.2.2.1 > GTK3 - GTK2) theme is an update to Black Widow a red and black rendition inspired by the colors of the venomous spider. I have added the GTK3 > GTK2 mods for a more complete experience, hence the name change to avoid confusion with my friend CrazyT's theme [link] . I would like to do shell mods in all the primary colors if possible and a couple of shades too, then gradually refine them all. That means newer versions for each mod over time, so as always you're thoughts are welcome, enjoy
THEME IS COMPATIBLE WITH ALL LINUX DISTROS MUST HAVE UNICO AND PIXBUF THEME ENGINES INSTALLED
► GTK2 - you must first install latest gtk2-engine-pixbuf ► GTK3 - & latest gtk3-engines-unico
Initial installation: Unzip (Black-Amber-1.zip) copy the resulting folder (Black-Amber-1) to (usr /share /themes) then apply with gnome tweak tool
Extensions: Copy contents of folder extensions to their corresponding folders at (file system/ usr /share /gnome shell /extensions) or alternately (home/ Ctrl-h/ .local/ share/ gnome shell/ extensions) and restart shell
Wallpaper: Included in folder wallpapers along with a few alternatives
I am confident you will,well as for me am about to update Black-Amber to 3.4 and make a few changes here and there adding more refinement hopefully improving its appearance
hi, nice theme sir.. im using Black Amber Theme now but when im browsing with firefox there is no sign of left scroll bar indicator and it is hard to use it with only scroll on my mouse..thx
In its current state the app overview and tool tips wont display correctly on 3.4. Still i have already updated my shell mods to 3.4, but have not uploaded them just yet as i am updating the GTK3 and GTK2 mods that go along with them.I plan to re-upload them as suites shortly.Thanks for you're interest
See if this doesn't make using firefox a little brighter in the text entry fields:
style "oo"
{
text[NORMAL] = "#363636"
}
widget "GtkWindow" style "oo"
style "ff"
{
text[NORMAL] = "#000000"
base[NORMAL] = "#FFFFFF"
}
class "GtkInvisible" style "ff"
widget "GtkInvisible" style "ff"
Right now I'm also trying to hack up the Adwaita metacity, hitting a snag with how the title is displaying though, I hope to figure that out soon.
